I'd like to thank all the Crankheads for ruining my life!!!
On the trip home from DC, JimmyJazz, Joan_A and I decided to stop at target to grab a few things. That was fine with me because I've got the worst hacking cough, sore through and some body chills which leads me to believe I have a massive cold coming on.

In order to hopefully not miss work I figured I'd start on some Nyquil. I'm not driving and Nyquil works best when my body feels this totally messed up.

But was Nyquil available when we got to Target (BTW, this was a Target in NE Maryland). NO, you had to grab a card and have a pharmacist give it to you. And the pharmacist was on break so I had to wait 10 minutes even still (JJ & Joan were elsewhere and in no rush). So when the Pharmacist gets there she tells me they're all out because Nyquil is reformulating their ingredients.

So to all the fricking Crankhead Loser Tweakers: FUCK YOU!!!

You've messed up so us normal folks can't buy our cold meds without a hassle from the pharmacist and now Nyquil is messing up a "tried & true" product that works like a charm. All this because you're a bunch of losers hooked on Crystal Meth using my beloved product cooked down with more nasty ingrediants than found in the Janiorial supply closet.

:grr:

1. I have been there!
Only in my case, I get out of work at 7:30am and went to Target to get Nyquil at 8:00am, but because the pharmacy didn't open until 9, I couldn't get what I needed and just went home stuffy with lousy sleep. Thanks tweaker dipshits. :grr:

2. I have to sign my name, give my address,
phone number, driver license and reason for purchase of product. This was for a box of Sudafed about 3 weeks ago.
Since most states already had a rule in place about how much could be purchased at one time I have wondered if this isn't about something else(maybe make someone get a prescription for their cold medicine?). I think there is more to it than tweakers and diluting product. I really do.

3. Thank you!
I wandered around the Target about a month ago looking for Dayquil only to find it behind the pharm. counter. I had to show ID and get this--customers are only allowed to buy 2 packs at a time. I don't think I'd ever need more than one, but dammit, I'm an adult and if I want 10 packs of Dayquil I should be able to get it.

It's ridiculous. I'm tired of law abiding adults being treated like criminals and infants.

4. Agree!
Let's only punish those who DO the crime; not all of us.

5. "Smaller" government sure is nosy, isn't it?
Ten years ago, there would have been an uproar about something like this. Now, we're so docile, we'll actually wait for the pharmacist, provide personal information, shake our heads and say "Well, they must have a good reason for this". I don't see how we can possibly legalize medical marijuana if we can't buy a bottle of cold medicine without permission.

6.  I can give you one very good example where
we put up with "this" for many years: model airplane glue. This is nothing new.

7. Do you need permission to buy model airplane glue?
I didn't know that. Is it only used on model airplanes?

9. When I was a kid
one could NOT buy model airplane glue (I used it to build model airplanes--that's why I call it that) without one's parents being present at the time of purchase (my corner grocer would take a note from my mom since he knew us). It was kept under lock and key. A few years back, they changed the formulation so that it would cause one to vomit BEFORE once could get high sniffing the fumes. Also, the advent of different types of glue have now made the model airplane glue of my childhood a thing of that past.

14. First they ask to register to get my Sudephed....
THat's one step from the day the Sudephed police will be banging down the door, bursting in during the middle of the night and taking all my sudephed away...

Wait, maybe if we set up Sudephed Shows at County Fairs we will be able to sell Sudephed, MyQuil and DayQuil....

They can pry my Sudephed from my cold dead hands......

15. It is not just meth users.
Alot of young people are finding out that if you drink a whole bottle of nyquil, you will hallucinate. Sadly to say people have died from this.

And please, let's not forget that the people who have meth addictions are still people.

21. last week i went to get some sudafed
at walgreens, to find the little cardboard signs instructing you to get your sudafed from the pharmacist. in the best of irony, right next to the cards were OTHER brands of cold medicine, many containing twice, or even SIX TIMES as much pseudoefedrine as sudafed! just not sudafed.
