Is Coheed & Cambria the second coming of Rush, or what?

I caught a half-hour or so of them on FUSE last night. Besides the whopping "Kashmir" stomp of "Welcome Home", they just sound like they're channeling Rush through a Yes filter for the most part. They've got the whole package, too. The Geddy Lee sounding lead singer, the science-fiction theme a-la "2112", the long-winded and pretentious song titles.....

I guess I kinda dig 'em, but BOY, they wear their influences on their sleeves.

Side note, although I was interested enough to watch the show, my wife was literally driven out of the room by them. She actually put on some headphones with the latest NIN. I wonder what that says...

Anyone else get these guys? I'm not sold yet.

They don't seem to take themselves as seriously as Rush did....
