I have no way to gauge this myself, so can anyone tell me which sf/fantasy franchise comes out on top? Lord of the Rings fans have mastered Tolkien's myriad languages, and I hear that Shakespeare has actually been translated into Klingon, but then, there are also "schools" that train some of our more interesting denizens on the ways of the Jedi.

1. I'd have to go with Trek
But, I'm no expert on the matter.

3. ST, for sure
Keep in mind the thing's been going strong since 1966, with a measly 80 episodes to begin with. That's quite a track record.

4. And which one has the largest crossover.
The whole Klingon language thing is weird.

9. Think that's bad? Let's talk about continuity errors
Which discrepancy has made more heads explode?

1. Khan recognizing Chekov in "Wrath of Khan," despite the fact the actor wasn't even in "Space Seed?"

2. Leia remembering her mother--who died in childbirth?

6. ST IMHO
Have you ever seen the movie "Trekkies" ?
Watch that and you'll probably agree .

I believe the only "following" that would be
larger would be the "Grateful Dead" "DeadHeads"

:hi:

11. Worldwide or U.S.?
If U.S., I'd say Star Trek. Worldwide, then Star Wars. I am a huge follower of SW and LOTR, but not ST. I watched the original ST in Italy, but I much preferred SW and declared myself a Jedi knight a while back!

I would love to master some of Tolkien's esotheric languages.
