Anyone remember Floyd R. Turbo, American?

One of Johnny Carson's better characters and a pretty good sendup of what is now the ignorant, paranoid freeper mindset. Looks frighteningly like Chimpy, though.

1. This character was a testament to Johnny Carson's genius
Floyd was far-and-away my favorite Carson character. He WAS the ultimate Freeper, the original clueless Bob Boudelang, who had no idea how totally stupid he sounded though he had no problem sounding off. I fondly remember all the times I would watch the (weekly or so) Floyd R. Turbo skit with my dad and both of us would laugh until we had tears in our eyes.

Keep in mind that the Floyd R. Turbo character was created either in the waning years of the Carter administration or the first couple of years of the Reagan administration. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Anne Coulter, and the rest of their ilk had yet to be shat from the bowels of Satan at that time. Carson, as usual, was a visionary, an entertainment genius.
