You know, I could have seen myself doing this for a time pre-Mrs E:

2. It's the Recluse thing
If I had been born 100 years ago I would have been a mountain man that just came to town every year for supplies and who everyone was afraid of:)

3. What a very cool way for him to live, my dear enigmatic...
Now you know that humans have always lived in caves (well, almost always!).

There are lots of reasons why we don't anymore...and it's not just the women, WC!

People need to live the way that makes the most sense to them...and their loved ones...

I could have seen doing this myself...but I'd want room to stand up in...I love cozy places, and this sure looks cozy...

Good for him.....

Good to see you tonight....... :hi:

6. Hey Peggy!

Pre-Mrs E, I've always been a hard-core Loner, though I've had friends; it's hard to explain. Since I've been on the road much of my life, I guess it's as close to the life that guy is leading as I' ever got; solitude was my friend, just like him..

8. Oh, I understand completely, my dear enigmatic....
I think we all need solitude now and then in our lives...

Even as social as I am, I need it as well...the need to retreat, to think alone, to find my core all over again...

I'd go crazy if I didn't have that now and then....

And it's really good to have a cozy place to be solitary in, as well..

So, yes, I understand completely....

4. Nope, nope, nope nope.
I admire his life, but the house triggered all my claustrophobia alarms. No, no, no. Now, in a tree I might be able to do it, if it wasn't too high.
