Memory Hole Question Regarding "Zorro"
I seem to remember a year or two ago sitting thru the usual movie previews when there was an ad for "Zorro" with Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. I remember laughing my ass off (along with the rest of the theater) and thinking "What a dumb ass movie."

Well, now I see commercials on the TV for this same movie. WTF? Was it never released? Was it entirely re-shot? Am I just simply losing it?

Does anyone else remember seeing those previews ages ago? Help please.

1. I saw the "The Mask of Zorro" when it was released.

It was a pretty good swashbuckler with a sense of humor. Anthony Hopkins gave a fine performance. Plus Anthony Banderas for the girls & Catherine Zeta-Jones for the boys. (Or vice versa.)

Edited to add this link to the story of the "real" Zorro. Hint: he was Irish!

3. It was a terrific movie
Humorous, beautifully filmed, smart dialogue, a real, honest-to-god villain, and lots of action. Very tongue-in-cheek. And Zeta-Jones was great.

See it. You'll get a kick out of it.

6. new Zorro movie due out in November, I think
Of course no Zorro viewing session is complete without
"Zorro the Gay Blade"

I am looking forward to the upcoming sequel, by the way. Ilove Zorro and have ever since the "Zorro" series on Disney in the '50s
