1. I ran away from the people with the Che banner!

I didn't want Agent Mike to take my picture while I was near it :silly:

3. The protestors from Latin America were incredible.

The protesters from Latan America had the most raw-energy of any group.

I'm not a fan of Che, communists shouldn't be used as heroes, but this banner was rather impressive.

2. About the banner on the Hirshhorn Museum building: it reads

"don't be afraid" -- Brainshrub, thank you for reminding me to look up what that banner says.

I have found that the most effective way to post pictures on DU is to provide a few thumb-nailed highlights, then link to the entire collection off-site.

On the thumbnail page of my site, I have descriptions of the pictures with hyperlinks to the larger images. In this way, people with dial-up or slow computers can see the whole collection without crashing their machines.

I've updated the description of the "Don't be afraid" display. It now reads:

This isn't, strictly speaking, a protest picture. It's part of an exhibit on the Hirshhorn Museum. It reads "Don't be afraid" in different languages. George Bush's policies are only possible as long as the American people are kept in a constant state of fear.

Peace Activists have not forgotten 9/11, but, unlike cowardly conservatives, we are brave enough to work for peace in the face of evil.
