But dwickham was one of the first to respond to my posts and joke with me. And that was kinda cool because it didn't make me feel like a stranger, but rather that I already belonged here.

It was kinda special - I wasn't just the new guy. There was already a place waiting for me. And that was pretty damn cool.

I think we need to do the same for all newbies - not "welcome, glad you are here" but just the assumption that they always had a place at the table and are finally joining in. And a lot of new people have been joining in the discussions and that's brilliant.

I could name names but I won't. But to anyone who is lurking.... post damn it! You are more than welcome.....
