soooooo, here are my two off-the-wall questions for the evening:


1. Does anyone know if the sponge is being sold in the States yet? (yeah, the "Seinfeld" sponge)....though I'm still in search of He Who Is Spongeworthy.....:hi:.

2. I realize this is probably lame, but is there a personal section here at DU that I've missed? To find someone who is NOT a * supporter is a huge thing for me, being in a red state, so DU seems a logical place to find those of like mind, but of the opposite sex. Have others found "partners" (of any sort...lol) here at DU?

1. I don't think so. Besides, spermicide hurts, so I haven't paid attention.

2.DU is the epi-center for liberal, geeky freaks. I've spent 4 awesome months with what's-his-face now. There are other couples (strait, gay, and polyamourous), attempted couples, broken couples, marriages, engagements, but there's nothing formal like a personals section. You have to earn the love around here. :P

I just turned 42 and am in North Carolina (unfortunately)....and have recently discovered that there are tons of guys out there of every age who know that women my age are in their prime....they sense we are in heat. So, I'm staying open to all ages.....
;)....and not letting that be a factor.

It sounds like you are in a sellers market. I am 43 in Kansas and women around my age seem to be in very short supply, except for married ones.

I doubt if I am even sponge worthy :( Unless the ability to tell jokes, health insurance and my own house make me desirable.

I'm a GD "survivor" from the 2004 primaries. After the election I started coming here more and more, as the circular firing-squad antics got to be a little too much. Next thing you know, I spend most of my time here now, for better or worse.
