I kinda missed it. Carl Sagan's Cosmos was on - and he explained genetics and DNA in a way that was guaranteed to send freeped-out ultra-fundies out of the house like suicidal lemmings in search of a very high cliff.
I had not seen all of the episodes, and had forgotten just how cool they were. This should be required viewing for any court deciding on the validity of that Intellibent Design or Creationism.

2. discovery channel. they showed several of the series. |
|
talk about friggin exciting. (not viggo, but Carl) the visuals were entertaining, informative and made a perfect match with the commentary by Carl.
I hope they do a rerun of it. I'll be sure to record.

6. I think it's actually the Science Channel |
|
which used to be Discovery Science. At least that's who is rerunning it right now.

4. Has there been any explanation on why Mehlmann was a no show? |
|
The weekly update on The Daily Show's guests listed Mehlmann as Monday night's guest so I was surprised when someone else showed up. I'm thinking that Kenny got cold feet when having to talk with someone who would actually call him a fool when he started spewing nonsense.

5. but a hallmark of Stewart is to allow fools to hang themselves |
|
he doesn't attack an idiot when he's down. I'd bet he'd even be polite to Dick Cheney. maybe not Douglas Feith, but perhaps to Don Rumsfeld.
I suspect that is because he and the other writers understand that people who watch Daily are more aware and alert about current events and don't need to watch a tar&feather event out of sheer sadism.
