What is your most expensive piece of jewelry?
Mine is my wedding ring. I have a few other pieces that are worth a good bit, but I never wear them. I prefer simple jewelry.

2. My wristwatch
I don't really have any nice jewelry. Even my wedding band wasn't worth more than $150, IIRC.

7. I guess my wedding ring, but I have a lot of Pakistani jewelry too
Edited on Wed Sep-28-05 11:14 AM by DeposeTheBoyKing
Made from 22K gold with rubies, sapphires, aquamarines, turquoise, lapis lazuli, peridot, topaz, amethyst, pearls and cubic zirconia (there may be some diamonds, but they have high quality zircons, as well). My brother-in-law and his son are jewelers in Pakistan and make gorgeous stuff for me. I'm very lucky in that regard (and so many more). I don't wear most of the stuff every day; it's for parties. I do wear some of the simpler pieces every day. For my law school graduation they sent along a stunning ruby set for me (huge earrings and choker).

11. You have to wear it! Otherwise what is the
point in having it! I worried about that with my wedding ring ar first, but you can insure these things if they are worth a lot!

24. warning
had renters insurance when I was first married - lost the diamond out of my engagement ring - cool insurence will cover lost jewlery - so I stupidly told the truth and they said well, we would pay if you lost the WHOLE ring but not just the stone.....needless to say that policy got canceled pretty fast.

21. I don't own any jewelry. None.
Can't stand to wear rings, bracelets, neclaces, and so on. (I did try very hard to wear a wedding ring after marrying Mrs R, but I took it off so much because it bugged me that I eventually lost it.)

And, beleve it or not, I do not own a watch. I figure, I have clocks in the house and a clock in the car. If I'm not in the house or the car, why the hell do I need to know what time it is?

22. Probably a set of diamond stud earrings my grandmother gave me
I wear almost no jewlery. I'll occasionally throw on some earrings or a necklace if I'm dressing up. That's about it.
(It's funny -- my BF wears more jewlery than I do.)

23. a diamond and gold ring that I had made with stones from
my great aunt's ring.

She gave me the ring, the stones were loose and I didn't like the mounting anyway, so I had a new mounting made. There is one large stone and 4 smaller ones, mounted flat in a sort of lacy, kind of Old Spanish kind of design.

I have my grandmother's engagment ring and another aunt's engagement ring as well, but they contain smaller stones.

I wear them constantly. I do have the point checked periodically.
