Yvonne De Carlo

I just like writing that name.

Ok, here is a Yvonne De Carlo story. In the book "Lucy In the Afternoon" Lucy told the author a story of how she once came home to find this "big fat" woman sitting in a chair in her house and the woman is obviously stoned (drunk). The woman says to Lucy, "Don't you recognize me." Lucy takes a good look at her and says, "nope." The woman says, "so now that your Miss TV you don't remember your old friends." So Lucy asks, "well, who are you?" and the woman says, "I'm Yvonne De Carlo." Lucy said that as soon as the woman said that she realized that it was, indeed, a gone to seed Yvonne De Carlo. Yvonne calls a taxi and leaves. Lucy says, "It's not like we were old friends. I only met her once in a make up room at Columbia in 1946 and she came in and sat down and tells me, "I was just selected the most beautiful woman in the world." and I says, "That's nice."

Of course we all know Yvonne best as Lily Munster.
