I saw way too many homeless cats earlier

I went for a long walk around my community and was shocked by the very large numbers that live in the woods that seperate my community with the next one over.

Is their anything I can do? How does one trap a homeless cat? Should I just put out food.
I am worried with cold weather coming up

1. one thing we can do here on my island

the shelter loans out traps, we take the cats to the shelter, they get spayed, if they are feral they are released in the woods, if not it's a no kill shelter, they are put up for adoption. pretty kool, huh?

3. what kind of traps do you use?

I would like to capture some of them and take them to shelters. these cats are obviously feral and scared of humans.

What kind of trap would you need?
