There is that one perfect person out there for everyone. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries to find that person. Love is natural. We get it from our parents when were are born. We feel it for our relatives. However, my experience has been that I thought I was in love with past relationships. Especially with my daughter's father. When actually it was being in love with the thought of "being in love." It wasn't until I had my daughter, that I actually knew what love was. It wasn't until then that I knew what my parents and relatives felt. I realized that I wasn't in love with her father after all, but was trapped into the relationship, with beatings, drugs, etc. It took my decision of my love for my daughter to get out of it when she was 4 months old, at the price of my father getting arrested and charged with 2 felony counts against my daughter's father. I waited 6 long years to get into a serious relationship with a wonderful man that I married last July. I knew what love was and that is what we have. He had just gotten out of a bad marriage and we found each other on a on-line dating site that we both posted on, just by chance.
So yes, I do believe that the right "one" is out there for everyone. It just takes a few tries to find them.

I'd rather refurbish a thrift-shop/garage sale/curb-found vintage piece than buy one of the new disposable computerized surround receivers they sell nowadays...flimsy build, and too many damned buttons. Gimme a nice big analog tuning dial, real knobs, and a steel chassis. Toss in a good CD player and a beefy turntable and a nice pile of CD's and records, and I'm a happy puppy. The newest stereo amplification gear I own is the Luxman preamp and power amp (1985 vintage) in my main hi-fi, rest of my systems run old Pioneer and Sansui receivers. I've a 1976 Sansui 6060, bought at a thrift for $4. Just needed a fuse and a cleaning, and it sounds fabulous.

Dress - believe it or not, I'm pretty much never seen without tie (or bow-tie, or cravate) and jacket in public (the jacket is more for convenience - I can easily carry my wallet, mobile, keys, diary, pen &c.&.c that way.

I was raised to be extra polite to women; so I will give up my seat, walk closer to the road, pay for drinks &c. (as long as this does not offend - etiquette is all about making people feel good not bad).

What used to be called common courtesy - it doesn't seem to be a very common reality these days.

I say 'good morning' &c. to people I pass in the village, whether I know them or not - I would do so elsewhere, but one just gets odd looks.
