She didnt' care if the whole world looked Joan of Arc with the Lord to guide her She was a sister who really cooked
Isadora was the first bra burner And you bet she showed up (Oh yeah) And when the country was falling apart Betsy Ross got it all sewed up
And then there's Maude...

18. For hey we movin' on up! To the East Side! |
|
I like the closing music to the Jeffersons better. Just like the closing music to All in the Family is better than the theme song. And the closing music to WKRP. And Good Times! I like the main theme, but I seem to recall something better at the end of Good Times. I wish there was an album of just the closing themes to classic TV.

13. I watched Maude for the first time on Comcast. |
|
My parents have supermegafancy cable. I loved Maude right from the beginning. "Lady Godiva was a freedom fighter. She didn't care if the whole world looked..."
Plus, I watched an episode where Maude and Walter sponsor an African American girl to live with them. It was so much more honest than modern sitcoms. And funny as hell too.
