GD vs Lounge-why do posters change/stay?

Hi all, I've been off DU for a couple wks, noticing that many of the GD posters are new while most of the loungers are the same. Interesting, wonder why they blow through GD so fast, guess it shows it is nice in here. Hi all.

1. The pay is shitty in GD.

Here in the Lounge turnover isn't as big of a problem because of the generous compensation package including a solid dental plan.

In GD, you're likely to get all serious and worked up and stuff. Hard to sleep after thinking about dour and depressing themes. I wander in and out of the Lounge to check responses to "MY POSTS".

It's easy to be yourself in the Lounge. I'm kind of a humorous character and like to read about you guys and share some thoughts, feelings and emotions.
