You go through these doors that slam behind you and you shoot Nazis and you find little treasures in jail cells and rooms where the Nazis had stashed their stolen jewels and money?

What the hell was the name of that game? I think it had German Shepherds in it too?

6. Oh, that's cool--thanks for the link, MrScorpio!
I think I remember that the Nazis would shout out stuff in German. It was really kind of weird.

4. Castle Wolfenstein. Sounds like you're talking 'bout the '3-D' version.

Castle Wolfenstein 3-D. Game had its origins much older than that though, as an old Apple computer game from the original Apple II.

The music was GREAT in Wolf 3D. This really got the id software guys going, just before they came out with "DOOM". Although they had some games even before Wolf 3D, Commander Keen and some such...

7. Hmm . . . not sure about the 3D. My brother loaded on my computer
years ago and I used to play it like crazy (even though I'm not a gun person--I loved that game anyway).

10. The original game was called Castle Wolfenstein. It was Apple II, crude

visually. I heard it was great though, you could do stuff like disguise yourself in a German SS uniform to sneak by the guards...

The other pic I showed was from the id Software "Wolfenstein 3-D" game which sounds like the one you played. I spent many many hours playing this game, it was a great one.

11. You're right.
It was definitely the 3D one, then.

Thanks for the info!

All that slamming of doors, clanking of jail cell bars, and shouting in German was freaky, wasn't it?
