Coool, got my security deposit on my old apartment back today :)
And I thought I wouldn't because I broke the lease to move into the new one. . . so, I just got a months rent that I wasn't expecting! YAY.

To celebrate, I bought a new Foreman Grill and am considering some new kitchen knives (high quality ones instead of the blah ones I have now).

:woohoo:

8. I'm not sure about where you are, but in Mass., after 30 days, the
landlord has to pay interest.

9. well in NYC the landlord is supposed to put your deposit
Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 01:39 PM by MadAsHellNewYorker
into a savings account and you are supposed to get the interest when you get the deposit back. However, they usually just give you what you gave them. I dont care about the intrest...i just want my fucking money! :grr:

11. NONONONO NOT the Foreman Grill - Get Hamiliton Beach's grill
Foreman Grill does a capable job but it sucks massively when it comes to cleaning since the unit is all one piece. I ended up switching to Hamilton Beach who makes a compatible grill that is so much more versitle and you can remove the grilling plates and wash them when you're done

http://www.hamiltonbeach.com/kitchen_appliances/cooking/indoor_grills/25327.html

This is the model I have but it is an older one. But they're all priced reasonibly well and you can open them up flat and make it one giant size grill.

Did you use your Foreman yet? If not - return it and get HB's grill

12. You're so far behind the times . . .
The new Foreman grills have removeable plates AND digital temperature controls:

So there :)

14. My last Foreman served me well
I abused the shit out of it and it kept coming back for more.

If this one craps out on me in a few years, then I'll try the HB :).
