1966 Dodge Coronet Delux 4-Door Hemi

This is the Worlds rarest 426-Hemi car. Between 1964-1971, approximately 11,000 cars were factory produced with the 426-Hemi option. All of those cars, whatever year, make or model, were two door cars (including the less than 200 convertibles), except for four cars. This is one of those cars, a 4-door hemi car. Two were special ordered by American customers, and the other two were exported (one to Canada, the other to Finland). This is one of two ordered American cars. The other ordered American car resides in Don Garlits Museum in Florida.

27. An even better sleeper. My parents once had a Mercury station wagon

that, bizzarely enough, came from the factory with a 428 CID V8. that's right the engine from the Cyclone, 390 HP, in a STATION WAGON!

Fake wood on the sides, roof rack and all, and it would suck the doors off almost any contemporay muscle car.

Boy, did that thing use gas! I think it got about 8 MPG.

(And the oddest part was that my mother was terrified of driving fast...)

Plus it was the same color and had the same grill as the MD state police cruisers. I could blast down the highway and people would move out of my way.

25. Those things were dangerous. You couldn't fit tires wide enough

to handle the power inside the rear fenders. I drove one a number of times, and it was damn hard to keep it from fishtailing.

... plus a '66, another '66 convertible (oh how I wish I'd kept that car, I sold it for $150 because my parents wanted it out of their back yard. It would be worth $20-$40K today) a '67, another '67.
