My friend Rima is a writer and one of her friends showed her a picture of Anderson in a punk mag from 1995. The article mentions his black drag queen boyfriend.

She was not a pretty gal, being the burly dock worker type, but I have to tell you, she was working those legs and had a GREAT attitude!

She was older, retired in fact. All wrinkled and saggy, but she was working the woman thing and worked it very, very well and was totally game about her life.

And also like the reporting he has been doing on the hurricane aftermath. Did you see his show yesterday when he went back to that one town (Waveland, I think), to check up on some of the people he had talked to just after Katrina hit. The other night, Larry King asked if being down there for a month had changed him. He said it definitely had. He went back home (New York?) for a couple of days, and he just could not relate to people watching their "reality" TV shows, going out for drinks, etc. He and the other reports down there have definitely been in a different world!

Do you mean Anderson Cooper was a punk back in '79 and they published a photo in another magazine in '95 of that?

But then, I loved him before. He's one of those trust funders who use their power for good not evil, and you can tell he's a bad ass, he's got that look in his eye. Even though now he's certainly respectable and reporter man.

11. Waveland? Wasn't that where he

talked about that family that drowned but had all those salt and pepper shaker collection which was still high and dry and undistrubed. He looked really "awaken" doing that story. I really respect him. I like to see him and Aaron Brown (good looking too, don't flame me)doing their show together. Wouldn't they make a good team, the new Huntley and Brinkley types.

Which is kind of strange, because Aaron Brown's meandering style gets on my nerves from time to time.

I didn't see the s&p shaker story...I can see how everyone thinks he is changed by this experience, and surely he has talked about this as well... but for a long time he's shown promise I think.

about the Katrina story and how he has changed. I can't wait till he writes a book about it. He's a Yalie and studied Vietnamese in Hanoi-this guy has some serious smarts.
