Yikes! That's not very far away! I tried to keep KitchenWitch updated so that she could post. The tower was with us, but nothing else.

5. Yes'm, KW was relaying your messages that you were safe.

The air conditioner in the car we were in gave out, and we couldn't top off our gas tanks, so we forted up in Liberty at a motel.

to the coast. We felt cheated by the weather bureau's earlier warnings of a direct hit on Galveston.
