Edited on Fri Sep-30-05 07:56 PM by Tallison
a cop came up to his window and asked for his license and registration. The friend asked if he'd been driving too fast, and the cop said, "No, you were completely stopped."

Way back when I drank pretty heavily, I foolishly got behind the wheel a couple of times. I've also driven thru Dallas, while tripping on lsd(very very stupid and scary!) Edited to add that I no longer drink or mess with mind altering substances!

20. Wow!
Those were the days. Many's the time I drove across the San Francisco Bay Bridge on a Honda 90 whilst tripping on LSD. Sometimes in the rain. Took a Latin midterm at the old Merritt College and got a 95 while peaking (missed one macron over one "e").

But I'm older and wiser now.

Those were my pre children days. The LSD thing was crazy. I remember driving down LBJ Freeway at 2 in the morning and all of the car lights were just one long string of lights!

While I was drunk. I made it home safely, thank god.

I did it once, and I'll tell you, I'll never do it again. When I go to the bar, I always walk with a buddy.

18. No but
I have ridden with people who were under the influence which was really stupid on my part but I was to out of it to have realized it at the time. Know-days I don't do that kind of stupid stuff, since I have gotten older I realize that life is too valuable to piss away with idiotic choices and behaviors.

21. Yes - back in my young & stupid student days
Once I couldn't find reverse to back out of a nose-in parking space in a main street - so I put it in drive and hopped up on the sidewalk and drove down it until I came to an intersection and drove back onto the street.....

Now if I have even ONE drink I don't drive - I have a personal zero percent blood-alcohol policy.

25. Used to take the champagne flight from work to the UP.
That's what we called it in the 70's. Case of long necks, and a 5th of schnapps. 4 hours from Detroit to the bridge, on I75. Still don't know why we never got jailed.

27. Yes, I did when I was younger
I once drove from our home in Laurel down to U of MD to pick up my hubby from a late class. He was a TA then.

One night, home alone, I felt like drinking. I knew I had to go pick him up at 9:45 but I didn't care. I got totally snockered. Then I drive the 10 miles down to campus to pick him up.

TO this day I don't know how I didn't get caught. I weaved.

But it scared me; and I haven't done it since.

I think I was 14 the last time I drove. But I have taken one to many rides with a person who was drinking. I was plastered and didn't even realize that they had been drinking.

The tree stopped us before we got far.

I do ride my bike while fucked up all the time.
