Me? Sweaters, cozy slippers, lap blanket...

Hopefully will get a pet to cozy in with again soon...but, damn the dating part of getting a new pet and training him is tough!

6. My brand new, dual-control electric blanket
Hubby likes the bedroom to be kept at sub-Arctic temperatures, so this is the only way for me to keep from freezing at night without roasting him out.

A propane heater in the living room with a fan to blow the warm air around the house helps, too. It's a small house.

16. Yes, I'm in the "subtropics" and eagerly anticipating the
relief of winter. It's a mental disconnect to watch news stories about the price of heating oil for the winter when you're still sweating in godawful heat....especially when a new hurricane could be headed your way. *sigh* Off to go check weather.com again.

how could i forget to mention SOUP?

i plan on making soup every few days to keep a batch in the refrigerator all winter, ready to heat and eat.

writing that made me think of a soup dispenser... you know like a water dispenser in the fridge with a bigger spigot for soup... ?

hmmm. :eyes: that..could....work.....

however, not online... http://www.zambaiti.com/eng/ita_fr.htm

It's the most comfortable and comforting household item I have ever, ever purchased, and well worth every single dime.

15. I plan on dressing in layers . . .
lots and lots of layers. I live in an old drafty house and keep the temp quite low. My friends don't even take off their jackets when visiting me in the winter. Maybe I'll have to start burning my furniture.

"wear some damn socks out there today will'ya!!" & the rainy season what is to follow here in the valley; seen it snow here, well...'snow', more like frozen rain so it gets cold by comparison; not like other places just cold for us. our sunny weather is coming to a close in spite of the blue skies i can feel it = dressing in layers, sweaters, boots & my wool lined leather jacket hubby got me last year  soup & just a liiiiiittle bit more irish whiskey here & there :7
