The new Warner Brothers film "North Country" takes a look at sexual harassment through the eyes of a trailblazing victim.
Based on a true story, Academy Award winner Charlize Theron plays single mother Josey Aimes who returns to her northern Minnesota hometown to work at a local mining company. While the well paying job is dangerous and back-breaking, Josey learns her biggest challenge is to cope with the harassment she and other female miners encounter. Her journey leads to the nation's first-ever class action lawsuit for sexual harassment.
Theron is joined by a strong supporting cast including Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson (who plays Josey's lawyer), Sissy Spacek and Richard Jenkins.
Inspiring and well acted. The screening audience applauded the film as the credits rolled.
