Things you just don't skimp on.
I never skimp on hair care products. I have very long fine hair and it takes alot just to keep it presentable. I use this white truffle shampoo.... it smells so good!!

I also refuse to skimp on condiments such as mayo and mustard, my Mom says the "off" brands are just as good, but for some reason they don't taste the same to me.

What's you guilty pleasure?

Can't use generic coffee brands - can't even use Maxwell House in my new coffee maker. I have to get the Douwe-Egberts pods.

56. Ok, there I disagree..
... Malt-o-Meal makes a Cheerios knockoff (they are becoming hard to get, replaced by the sugary Scooters) Toasteeo's that is better than Cheerios by a mile. Stays crunchy under the withering assault of milk, truly yummy.

Besides, do a bit of research on General Mills and you won't want to buy their products any more :)

... Please accept this rejoinder as a remediation of my non-sequitur comment. :)

Since I cannot eat sugar, I'm a self-proclaimed expert on sugar-free cereals, of which there are few. What I should have said is "have you tried them, because they are a lot better?" :)

88. Yes, I've tried just about every Cheerios knockoff there is.
I still like the real ones best.

Though sugar isn't an issue for me, I really do prefer non-sugar cereal (but I do sweeten my oatmeal). I've been on a bite-size shredded wheat kick for months.

Was turning a corner, my roadie tire slipped in some water, and down I went. Hit my right temple against the curb. Cracked my helmet, got a concussion, but it saved my life.

I'm lucky to be here.

The best paper towels are Viva by Kleenex. I used to buy Bounty, but the Viva is like velvet. Charmin TP, Kleenex tissue, Kraft cheese, Crest toothpaste.

I don't really like to skimp on anything though! Don't know why either.

We also won't buy Purdue or Tyson chicken, no matter how cheap it is compared to the free-range ones.

Also cars. The only thing I promised myself when I was younger was that some day, I'd make enough money to buy a car that didn't break all the time, or if it did break I'd be able to pay someone else to fix it instead of doing it myself, especially in the winter.

I've managed that, and consider myself lucky.

68. Coffee, tea and gin.
The three most important liquids on the planet.

But I can't say that I feel guilty about them.

90. What's your gin of choice, TJ?
:hi: I missed you this morning. I'm really keeping my head down in my work and about to go into a meeting that will NOT be any fun. I ran my post count up a bit in Arwalden's Lesbian TV show thread. Silly, but efficient under the circumstances.

I hope you're having a great day and when I get out from under all this I'll be free to converse again.

Cheers! :loveya:

73. Good fruit.
I don't have alot of money but I still try to buy my fruit local and I prefer vine-ripened. I buy it from a local market that buys 95% of it's products w/in a 100 mile radius.
It costs a bit more than the local supermarkets but it's worth it.

81. Vodka
no Karkov for this gal

Ground beef, if it comes in a tube, no thanks. I usually buy from Von Hansen's or when my mom buys an organic cow, nice and lean.

Nothing but the real thing will do. Cool Whip is not an acceptable substitute.

92. Ice Cream!
From the grocery store, it must be Haagen Dazs. Most delicious!

All the other brands (including Ben & Jerry's) are full of guar gum.
