New immigration laws introduced so non-US models can work in the US

December 22, 2005 -- IF gorgeous foreign fashion models could vote, and if they lived in Brooklyn, they would vote for Rep. Anthony Weiner, who has co-sponsored a bill with Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) to amend the Immigration & Nationality Act to establish a separate, nonimmigrant classification for fashion models. The Washington Post reports the law would make it easier for foreign beauties to catwalk on American runways. Weiner, a 41-year-old bachelor, says U.S. modeling agencies are losing business internationally because of current restrictions. "What a guy!" the D.C. Post says. "Bet those gals are soooooo grateful."
