Wow, a new family member sure changes the gift layout

There's like a bazillion more presents than usual under the tree, and they're ALL for my nephew!

1. And he won't remember any of them next year.

I am not quite sure why people go so nuts getting kids presents, especially smaller babies, who don't even know what Christmas is, and are happier with the wrapping paper.

My poor kid was opening presents for days her first Christmas, and she was only a few months old. My sister thinks it's because kid's presents are much cheaper than adult gifts...but still, man, it's freaky.

2. He's only six months old!

YEah, people go over board... my dad had him on his knee and was saying "There is no Santa Daelon" as a joke and my sister got a little miffed. I mean, he's six months old, like he knows what the hell is going on!

3. Holy moly, the "Santa" controversy is nuts!

If you tell the kid there's no Santa Claus, people get all irritated. If you say there is a Santa, people want to know why you're lying to your kid.

And god forbid ANYONE tell your kid the opposite of what you want them to think.

The madness!
