Question for those who live with their spouses/BF-GF/partners, etc.:
How have you changed since you began living together?

I haven't changed much in five years. I am still a slob. Still (how do I put it kindly) reticent to do housework.

I'll prob'ly have more later.

How about you?

1. Well, given that I've been living with him for over 13 yrs.....
I'm sure I've changed somewhat since we moved in together.

For one thing, we've become parents of two kids during that time. THAT changes everything!!

'nuff said.
:hi:

2. Yeah i have changed quite a bit.
Edited on Thu Jan-05-06 10:25 AM by William Bloode
I have become more or less a shut in. I never go out anywhere, and the more i don't go out the more i am comfortable with it.

I am and always have been a very volatile person in public, and prone to trouble. So when i got married to my 1st partner and had kids i started to avoid public outings so i could steer clear of any potential trouble.

I have always had shut in potential due to various mental conditions of mine. But i used to overcome a lot of the fear with alcohol. Now i do not drink very much.

3. I don't really know.
I'm sure I have changed - time and circumstances tend to change everyone to some degree - but I'm not sure how. Maybe I've mellowed a bit.

4. i guess maybe it's too broad a question...
Like William Bloode, I, too, have become more of a recluse. I've always been introverted but before I moved to the east coast I had a large, busy circle of friends.

5. Maybe a little. We've grown together.
We have grown used to each others habits, etc.

6. We have both changed.
He is a neat freak and I have raging ADD, so I would squirt the soft scrub in the tub and then move on to something else and come back three hours later to a hard plaster.

Since we've been together for 16 years now, we have moved a little closer to the middle each. He is not so obsessive about neatness and I am a lot neater.

8. LOL. Oh, believe me, I know I still drive him crazy
I still leave mail in my car. I still leave my wine glass on the table, stuff like that.

I am just more aware of that stuff now and really do try to take care of it because I know it bugs him.

He must really love me to put up with me for this long!

9. I become less slob-like, under pain of death
Girlfriends and now my wife have had, uh, influence upon me.

I do a lot of cleaning now, as we split the labors.

It really is nicer to live in a clean house. My home office is a mess, however.

10. I exercise less
I'm more tired... but, that is likely due to our almost 3 year old daughter.

I eat more varieties of food now.

I went from a fanatic sports fan with a casual interest in politics to somebody who could care less about sports and a political fanatic.
