It's our constitutional duty to talk about Bill Owens and the pregnant
nanny.

The CO redistricting thread is giving me fits (or, rather, my computer), so I figured I'd explain here.

No, there's no ling to it--Owens is the Repuke Guv of Colorado, and he and his lovely wife just separated.

Rumor is he was having an affair--a lobbyist or a nanny. Only rumors right now, but if anyone hears anything, we must and should--as God is our witness--smear this right-wing nutcase.

2. It is wrong to pry into the personal matters of another
But I'll make an exception for this hypocritical dumbass piece of shit. Shoving his fucked up family values down our throats and he's too stupid to use a freaking condom when he's fooling around on his wife. Fuck him!

3. As I recall, Owens reacted SO WELL to Columbine...
NOT! x(

His entire administration, as I've heard about it from Co. relatives and friends, should set the stage for a Dem winning in 2006; so lousy a governor has he been. And now--if it's true--this little tidbit...

Oh, well; guess it puts quite a spin on Repub "family values", huh?:eyes:

B-)

5. Owens wasn't there for Columbine
But he took our state surplus and changed it into a deficit! He is lousy, but we use Diebold in the few Democratic districts, so wouldn't count on a Dem winning any time soon in Colorado...

4. he's been so lame and incompetent
that:

a. developer-friendly state ballot initiative failed (first such to fail since I've lived here--27 years).

b. his local media toadies don't even want him on as a guest on their raido shows or as a source for their Repug-friendly stories anymore.

TERRIBLE governor in every respect I can think of.

6. Interestingly, he's on KBCO from time to time
Brett Saunders likes to have him on for the morning show (though I'm very sure Brett's a democrat, and the city of Boulder is no haven for republicans). Owens invited him to some shin-dig luncheon of theirs also.

8. he used to do a weekly on Peter Boyles and Mike Rosen
and a couple of other talk shows.

But now he only comes on occasionally.

9. Frances Owens seems like a nice woman, and a good Catholic.
He would have had to something pretty bad for her to separate. I had thought it was a hypocritical political thing. Eww... this is not good. I think their youngest kids are in high school. They might not need a nanny, but someone who helps take them places goes to sport events and is a responsible presence when the 'rents are gone.

For me, if true, this not a good thing. It's just sad.
