Do ET's visit earth?
There are between 5 and 10% of UFO sightings that have never been explained. What is your theory.

1. If were the only ones floating around in the universe.
It sure would be a hell of waste of space.

2. Mathematically the odds are good that there is someone out there.
But do you think they can make it here.

3. Hell, yes, they can...
... the Bushies are living proof they've left their genetic garbage here.

5. speaking as someone with
a degree in Physics, and who has done the Drake equation.. it's so very unlikely. Civilizations don't seem to stick around very long, at least not here on earth. Probably verry few last long enough to develop the kind of technology it would take to overcome the vast distances of space, and then what's the likelihood any of those few would be around at this time in Universal history?

Mine's a scientifically, but not publicly, popular opinion.

7. I agree with it....however, my scientific views were shaped by Sagan...
...so I may be prejudiced. Indeed, he is the one who actually introduced this intelligent, but woefully backward rural Georgian to the concept of Drake's equation in his series Cosmos in 1980, which kept me mesmerized for weeks in 1980.

4. I don't believe we are routinely visited by extra-terrestrials.
I believe that they exist. I can't say that I believe aliens actually have visited earth in our lifetimes.

6. It would be wonderful if we had been visited (at least once) though
Because that would mean there's some way around the Lightspeed limit.
nb-I don't mean it can be broken, but perhaps evaded?

8. I don't remember who said this but I always thought ......
that this was rather cool:
1. "Wouldn't it be the most amazing thing if we found out that we were
not the only intelligent life in the universe?"

2."Wouldn't it be the most amazing thing if we found out that we were
the only intelligent life in the universe?"

On another note and thought: After seeing the series "Death Star*"
(on PBS), the chances for other intelligent life might be a lot smaller than we
had imagined.

* Death Star: A star that essentially wipes out all life in a galaxy.
