1. Last night at Winterland was 31 December 1978
Keith and Donna are still with the Band. Keith Godchaux died 23 July 1980.

I expect Simon & Garfunkel's original "Concert in Central Park" video and that Roy Orbison special later this week.

Actually, that's a very funny line, but last night on the Chicago PBS station they showed that dreadful Folk Music reunion thing. That show was popular??? With whom????

To quote Martin Mull, "That fiddle & banjo crap almost caught on." Man, that was some really boring music on that show. I watched it in snippets. I could never actually sit through a whole song.

5. It was '78 :)
I've had that show on tape for YEARS. It was originally a TV broadcast on a bay area station (I forget which one).

I have the DVD sitting on my desk right now (rented from Netflix, will be going back in a day or two. . . I need to go get my own copy).
