Return of the King S'track - Annie Lennox and James Galway? so wrong!
I don't mind Annie Lennox, but she is so wrong for Lord of the Rings. Previous singers used such as Liz Fraser (and even Enya) are more ambient singers who can blend in with the orchestration. Liz even sounds convincingly Elven. With Lennox, you're just thinking 'Bloody hell, is that the Scottish bird from the Eurythmics?'. That kills the soundtrack for me.

As for James Galway, that bloody flute was the bane of my childhood.

If they want my advice (bit late now), Howard Shore (an excellent composer, btw) should've used Liz pretty exclusively and brought Sigur Ros in. That would work for me!

Sounds like this won't be much better.
