Reaching young girls with a positive message about beef...
Hi, this is Sasha Cohen reminding all you girls out there that if you load up on artery-clogging prime rib and eat a filet minion for breakfast - fat included - every day, you could someday fall on your ass at the Olympics. Don't take my word for it though - the only cow I get near is expensive leather (Seriously, look at me - I haven't had a sandwich in 7 years). No, take it from my friends at the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, the organization that took Oprah to court for "food disparagement!" They (and the President, who owns a ranch so you KNOW he eats beef) tell me that their researchers have found a significant link between high-performing athletes and beef intake. Granted, they tended to be athletes in the field of competitive eating, but they are athletes nonetheless!

So grab yourself a plate of ribs and keep reaching for the stars (or the ice, as the case may be - I totally meant to fall anyway whatever).

4. God, that is just vile.
I only read what Lynne had highlighted.

Oh Sasha. Man, that snowboarder Shaun White could do WAY better than her. :D

2. Considering the hormones and 'roids in beef these days
consuming it may be good for the professional athletes that don't have the bankroll of one, Barry Bonds.

6. Actually eating beef can be a healthy part of an athletes diet
Many sports, with practice and competition, burn many calories. Their muscles need more protein for repair and muscle building. Young female athletes need more iron.
Yes, there are other ways to get these things, but beef is a good source of all of them.
There is nothing wrong with eating beef a few times per week, especially if you are burning all the time.
I doubt that Sasha Cohen had problems because she bulked up on beef. As I recall seeing her numbers, she is probably underweight as are most high level ice skaters.
