1. First Album was great...IMHO
Candy O had some good tunes...then Bubble Gum after that. "All I can do" was my teenage angst song!

Even though Drive still takes me back to High School :)

5. Ah, the Vargas girl!
Outfits that were literally painted on, big tits that looked real, and long legs that went from her ass all the way to the ground. Vargas make Playboy collectible.

Oh yeah, the commercialized version of New Wave was pretty good, too.

16. Yeah. Not exactly rock, but something beyond.
Ultra-cool, and a breath of fresh air at the time. The other albums are mostly redundant.

3. i saw them at the Boston garden about 100 years ago and they are the worst
live show ever. they should only do studio and never tour, horrible, worst concert i've seen, seeing Steven Tyler puke onstage at the cape Colosseum was a better show.

8. Memory: Winter 1980
At a "trash can" party...outside, unbearably cold Minnesota night...

She shadows me in the mirror
She never leaves on the light
And some things that I say to her
They just don’t seem to bite
It’s all mixed up
It’s all mixed up
It’s all mixed up...

I hear that and close my eyes and I am a 14 year old nerd-kid again...

Music is amazing.

10. As a young redhead...
...it was my secret wish to grow up to look like the redhead on the Candy-O album cover. Not to mention it being my favorite Cars album. I did find the material by the mid-80's to be unlistenable so I agree with you in that aspect.

12. Sadly, no.
I can't walk in high heels.

And I don't blame you a bit for the Ric Ocasek thing.

13. well it's a good thing you didn't end up looking like a cartoon chick...
it's hard for two-dimensional people to operate machinery, get a job or have any kind of life. hell, it's hard enough for three-dimensional people to do that stuff.

As well as being viewed by others as having no depth.

19. They rock
One of the great original power pop groups, along with Cheap Trick, Badfinger, Rick Springfield, Go Gos, Blondie, and the Bangles.
