Possible fund raising idea for DU?- a DU cookbook

There are always so many great recipes posted here on DU. What if we put together a cook book and sold it on line and on DU?

My old boss is connected with the book publishing world and his wife is running for a US Congressional seat as our state's progressive candidate. The book would give them some extra funds for their campaign and would also raise money for DU.

I think these cookbooks are very cheap to put together. Our tiny fire department put one out a couple of years ago and it was a huge fundraiser.


What do you guys think?

2. Semi-annual idea that never gets off the ground

cant seem to get a fire going, or a watched pot never boils, maybe too many cooks spoil the broth.

3. I would so spearhead it in a minute

I love to know what others are cooking and I am a whizz with copy and paste on Microsoft Word. I would be more than willing to collect the recipes via email, put the book together and arrange for publication.

Great folks in there. Also they have some stuff on Demopedia, I think.

Just checked it out. What a great assortment of recipes! Looks like the cookbook is done!. Does anyone know Skinner or Elad enough to pitch this idea?
