Matthew McConaughey is a REPUB!
Actually he's not - he's a Dem - and a pot smoking, naked bongo playin' one at that.

Anyway, now that I've got your attention, what actor or actress, musician or anyone famous, would bother you most if they actually were, in fact, a Repub?

But she has a liberal vibe IMO.

Or anyone else in my crush list. My crush is ruined when I find out a celeb is a Repuke.

29. I'll give more specifics
Edited on Sun Mar-05-06 01:57 PM by mvd
My biggest crushes and comments on each (to show which ones I'm wondering about)

Katie Holmes - not sure. Not very partisan, as she has a picture of herself with Bush, but also heard that she voted for Gore
Colleen Haskell - did an anti-Bush skit on the Late Show a while ago
Alyssa Milano - yes, a Democrat
Scarlett Johansson - yes, a Democrat
Natalie Portman - yes, a Democrat
Claire Danes - Kerry supporter; likely Democrat
Reese Witherspoon - donated to Hillary Clinton twice now, likely Democrat
Alison Lohman - a Democrat; wore a Kerry T-shirt
Ali Larter - not sure, but seems to be a Democrat
Thandie Newton - probable Democrat
Salma Hayek - yes, a Democrat
Eliza Dushku - yes, a Democrat
Alicia Silverstone - a Kucinich supporter like me; liberal for sure
Jennifer Connelly - probable Democrat
Kaley Cuoco - no idea
Dominique Swain - member of PETA, which is a good sign
Marisa Tomei - yes, a Democrat
Kristen Bell - yes, in Maxim magazine she made fun of Bush's spying - and called herself a pacifist
Maggie Grace - no idea
Leighton Meester - no idea
Zooey Deschanel - family members donated to various Democrats
Amber Tamblyn - yes, a Democrat
Sharon Case (plays Sharon on Young And The Restless) - no idea
Lauren Woodland (ex-Brittany on Y&R) - was at a rock the youth vote party; those are supposed to be non-partisan, but are often attended by Democrats
Adrienne Frantz (plays Amber on B&B) - yes, a Democrat
Leslie Mills - no idea
Anna Nalick - no idea
Katharine McPhee - not sure, but has a liberal vibe
Michelle Branch - was anti-war
Andrea Corr - lives in Ireland; not sure if she's a liberal or not

So the ones I'm not sure about and would be most disappointed in are: Katie Holmes, Colleen Haskell, Ali Larter, Kaley Cuoco, Maggie Grace, Leighton Meester, Zooey Deschanel, Sharon Case, Lauren Woodland, Leslie Mills, Anna Nalick, Katharine McPhee, and Andrea Corr (as far as being a conservative, as she can't be a Repuke)

42. That's my girl.
If you listen to "Domino" on "Angels & Demons" note that this song was written the night the 1000th solder died in Iraq. "Immortal" was about the Columbine kids. "Wanna be on MTV, get a street named after me" ....... I've seen that song evolve from a simple acoustic song to a powerful full band song. Cindy told me that she doesn't like to get political in her music, but I think now she can't help it.

I am so proud to promote her and proud to be her friend.

48. Keep it up
Cindy's in the prime of her career right now, and it's more important than ever that she gets attention. I can now see that connection in both the songs you mentioned!

I've seen that her label, JamCat records, is not a member of the RIAA. Is she planning an album on a bigger label?

52. JamCat isn't part of RIAA .....yet.
What she's done w/ "Angels and Demons" is to opt for a major lable to take it for distribution. Which she didn't do for "Smash". Her management is working for a deal with a major lable to take "A&D" and promote it. Cindy's at a point where lables are looking at what she's done as an indy and they have respect for that. Her management is amazing. I've been told by her and the band that my little fan club web site has really helped. I'm so thrilled. If won the lotto, I'd set aside money for me and the other half to live off for the rest or our lives and then help Cindy become the star that she should be.

Wikipedia of course!

I look at it from time to time and shake my head in sadness:

Dean Cain
Robert Duvall
Kelsey Grammer
Patricia Heaton (probably the most disappointing)
Shirley Jones (I loved the Partridge Family)
Ron Silver
Tony Danza (conservative)
Stephen Baldwin (cause he's born again of course)
Rick Schroder (became a Mormon)
Andy Garcia (really, I just think he's super anti-communist)
Mel Gibson (I think Republicans aren't conservative enough for him)
Dennis Hopper
Cheryl Ladd
Vince Vaughn
Bruce Willis

Probably should add Bo Derek and Britney Speers to this list. Britney made no bones about her feelings with her razzie-winning performance on Fahrenheit 9/11.

She's always been what I considered on the "good guys" side during the 60's when she bared her breasts at concerts like Woodstock and along with Jefferson Airplane sang about a "Revolution", etc. I would hope that she isn't a Bush supporter these days!
