16. I had a first floor apartment in Toledo...

That may not have the same ring as "I had a farm in Africa" but I did. There were two buildings that made a courtyard in the middle. My window was on the inside of the 'L'. During the summer, I could hear two of my neighbors going at it really loud. I mean it was plain as day. Though most of it, one could only hear the woman who was a moaner, not a screamer. I only heard the man at the end. Then the fighting would start. I told my girlfriend over the phone who lived in Cleveland, but she thought I was exaggerating until she heard it herself.

They'd go at it with their window open. It was right next to my back porch which was my smoking lounge. They had to know I was out there they could hear me walking around. I think they got a thrill from knowing I could hear. I just tried to Ignore it. She sounded like she was good though :evilgrin:

25. Once I had a positive experience with a neighbor I directly confronted

I ran into her in the carport the morning after she had her boyfriend over, and I thought to myself, "Shit, I'm not the one making the faux pas!" so I went over to her, greeted her and said, "You know, every time your boyfriend comes over, I hear you two during intimacy. I really wish you'd tone it down. Thanks." I never knew her face could be so red. Plus, it did get them to be quieter.
