Annoying Cubicle Habits!
Every day, in the cubicle caddy-corner to me, I get treated to the WONDERFUL sound of a fellow engineer eating with, presumably, his mouth wide open, lips smacking, sounding either like a pig at a trough sans the snorting or two teenagers making out loudly without the groans of pleasure.

If you lack the ability to eat like a normal, civilized human being that KEEPS THEIR GODDAMN MOUTH CLOSED, don't eat in your cubicle!

Share your annoying cubicle-mate's habits here, as well as violent thoughts of revenge.

2. I love my cubicle mate, but
she vocalizes any thought that even enters her head. I never know when she's talking to herself, or talking to me.

3. Whistling tunelessly annoys me.
Singing badly annoys me.

Eating stinky stuff at your desk annoys me.

FARTING a lot REALLY annoys me.

I have been in situations where all three went on regularly and it was a trip to hell. My condolences, Doc.

5. Listening to moronic phone calls to someone's boyfriend or girlfriend.
Listening to someone bitch about they're life over the phone.
Listening to two repubs talk about great repub candidates who are running this year.
Fingers drumming or two pencils drumming on a desk.

I could go on. It's why I love my job. I can get up and go meet someone outside my office--like at the deli.

7. My cube butts up against a hallway
And somehow people think it's okay to speak at full volume in the hall. They will turn the corner into the actual section of cubes and lower their voices to a whisper, but in the hall anything goes. My cube walls aren't any taller or more sound-proof in the hallway folks.

There are these two vice presidents that stand outside my cube for fifteen, even thirty, minutes talking about sports. They're the type who totally expect to be treated like royalty, too, so they wouldn't take kindly to some serf asking them to keep it down. I just make a point of turning my desk fan on full blast when they start in on their blather.

9. here are some that I am guilty of:
1. eating at my desk. I don't know if I make a bunch of gross noises, but I bet it annoys my neighbors anyway.

2. throat clearing and nose blowing.

3. cussing at my computer all day long.

10. I haven't had a cube mate in 20 years, but I used to hear stories
from a friend about his cubemate. The offender was a middle aged woman, and she though nothing of lifting her ass cheek and farting at will, with no apology or even acknowledgement. My friend, a middle aged man, was nearly beside himself over that!

11. How about having two people making out in the next cubicle?
We were on night shift and there was really no where else to go so I was made into an unwilling voyeur every lunch break.

13. bringing burnt popcorn into the cubicla area, in fact eating any
variety of smelly food into the cubicle area. I think eating at desk should be limited to pretzels, cookies, and other non odiferous stuff

and fish of any kind should be banned from any public microwave location.

and I do hate it when my neighbors shout over my cublcle
