Baseball fans: somethin' new

Apparently this year some ball clubs have internet-only "broadcasts" of spring games at mlb.com. Like today, neither the Dodgers nor Giants are on regular radio, but both are being streamed. (Dodgers are beating Atlanta 7-4 going to the bottom of the 9th.)

It requires subscription to Gameday Audio, but that's only $14.95 for the whole season, and that's for every team, every game — plus, the games are archived so you can listen later.

I'm not shilling for mlb.com or anything. Just sayin'.

1. This will probably be the first year in about 5 years that I don't have it

I've been getting MLB gameday audio for that long because I couldn't get Twins broadcasts any other way. And for 14.95, they usually give me a year's subscription to Sports Illustrated or something as well.

It's great for lazy days, even if your specific team isnt' playing. I listened to TONS of white sox games last year as well... just to piss myself off.
