I just got back from getting the shots in my back at the doctor's office.

Well, it wasn't too bad. I didn't have to get the shots that went into the rib bone (that's what I was dreading because THAT sounded painful). I did get six "cocktail" shots with 4 different medications in each shot. Didn't hurt too bad. I survived!
Now, I have pain patches to wear when I need them and will go back to the doctor in 4 weeks. I might have to repeat the shots then, but I hope not.

Glad you didn't get rib shots - that does sound awful. I'd get scared too.

I've had bone marrow drawn directly from the breast bone and needles into bones are NOT pleasant!!
It's good you didn't need to have the rib shots, hopefully now the pain patches will keep you painfree!

I'm having shots every two weeks into my spine.

6. Did your injection have any steroids in it?

If so, take it REALLY easy. You may start to feel like superwoman, but don't let the 'roids fool you...you still need to take it easy.

Three different steroids and a nerve blocker. Don't worry---I'm planning on being really lazy for the next 3 days or even longer.
