Pick apart the Oscar picks!!!!
Reese Witherspoon? I like her and all, but how was playing Johnny Cash's wife a stretch? I mean, what was SOOOOOOO great about it?

Keira Knightley? WHY? Only the 15,838 actress to play that part this year and she was miscast to boot.

Who matters in the Best Actor Category besides whats his name for Capote?

1. I don't really disagree.
Reese Witherspoon did a fabulous job with that role. However playing a country music singer simply is NOT as big a stretch as a woman playing a transgendered woman. Felicity Huffman all the way.

Keira Knightly. Thank you! How many freaking times does this movie need to be remade? And why do we still care? Penalty points for complete unoriginality.

There were other people nominated besides Philip Seymour Hoffman? Pity, they're going to LOSE.

For such a movie buff I haven't seen any of the nominated films save Capote. :)

3. oh boy!
:spank:

Yes, you should see more of the movies!

Reese was great. Joaquin was too. They both did a great job- it was a story of love and redemption. And all the more touching knowing that it was not only true, but that Johnny and June were together for the rest of their lives.

6. You can rent Walk the Line - it came out this week
To be honest, I didn't think Joaquin had it in him. He really impressed me. And the music in the film is really fun!

7. Felicity Huffman has my vote
Too bad I can't vote. She was far superior to Reese. I mean, Reese was good, but it really wasn't a stretch. Felicity did a fabulous job with a very challenging role.
