Good Saturday Morning, Crew!
Edited on Sat Mar-04-06 06:35 AM by Clintmax
:donut::hug:
Welcome to the Early Morning Crew for this 4th of March! How are you today? I'm doing just fine, myself. I had a very relaxing first day of my mini-vacation watching the entire 4th season of "OZ" on DVD! :woohoo: I love that show!

Today will be a little more industrious for me. I have several things around the house I'm going to get accomplished...then it's off for some shopping! What are YOU going to do today?

Ready to get the day started? Me too. So let's GO! :bounce:

I have a few cleaning chores to get done around here today, but I'm going shopping too. :bounce: I love that!

3. Hi Clint!
Nice to see you. I got my car back - as well as the breakdown that happened on thursday, there was a couple of other things that were waiting to be done to it, that they had not done before because they didn't have the parts. All told it cost me 300 quid! x( At least they valeted it.

This afternoon I am going out to Leicester for the evening. Tomorrow can be a lazy day for me. :)

It's nice to see you too, my buddy! I'm glad you got your car back...but are you saying that it still has more problems to get fixed? I hope not! I hope you have a good time in Leicester, Man, and I'm glad tomorrow can be a lazy day for you! We ALL need those once in a while!

13. No, all done now
I hope. What failed on thursday was the ignition coil, but it had also been waiting for a new lambda probe, the heater control was broken, and one of the front foglamps was smashed. That's all cool now. They said the brake discs were getting a little worn, but that can wait until the next service.

35. Smarts are cool
but they are not what I am looking for. I want something bigger than what I have now, the Smart is far smaller! They are efficient as hell, but I do quite a lot of motorway driving, and they are not well suited to that. Also, occasionally I have to chauffeur people with a lot of luggage about. Often my current car has proved too small - inside it is okay but the trunk cannot take much stuff.

Also, the Octavia vRS has a 200hp turbocharged engine...

How they get a 500cc engine to make it go 120mph+ is beyond me, but they do.

I try to go to bed every night at the same time. If you have insomnia (I don't, but Greekspeak sometimes does) that's supposed to help more than anything. Going to bed and getting up at the same time every day.

Good morning! :hi:

I got permission from my new landlord to start moving all but the furniture into the farmhouse! You have no idea how much that will save on packing time. I can take the stuff up in the car and unpack right away. No waiting for the movers on the 29th. Today the linen closet and china are getting moved, and some necessary cleaning will be done as well.

On this end, my daughter's new boyfriend (who wants me to like him) has offered to help. Since my left wrist is toast, he can help me disassemble the antique table and move some heavier stuff around. BTW, I already like him but I can sure use the help!

So that's my weekend. Pack up the car, drive north and unpack. Repeat.

I remember that Exile song from high school. You've got good taste.

LG

Edited on Sat Mar-04-06 08:00 AM by lizziegrace
I've lived this way for 3 years now in two different places. Both had twenty-somethings who partied until the bars closed (I'm only 3 miles from the OSU campus) and came home to continue. Slamming doors, squealing tires, loud music. And last night, they blocked my car in. It's a damn driveway, not a parking lot, but somehow, they managed to cram 6 cars in front of the two garages. x(

And all of them were raised in this upper-middle class suburb with parents who just sigh over their "bad choices". I've known the family of one of the girls next door since 1994. But blood is thicker than water.

Sigh...rant over!

Carry on.

(just 3 1/2 more weeks!)
