2. Two things
1. Nice link you found! (the show is normally gross, but for infant size that would be very amusing indeed...)

2. Bad? Bad! Bad means good, right? :7

4. Ah, makes me proud to be Irish
along with all the vomiting, screaming drunks on March 17

Seriously, I really HATE St. Patrick's Day. The idea of celebrating being Irish by getting shitfaced drunk just doesn't go over well with me, and I am not exactly a tee-totaler.

6. In the UK, the Irish treat it much differently
When I lived in the UK, the expat Irish I knew treated it as a holy day, for going to church and that kind of thing. Nobody drank green beer, nobody got really ratarsed drunk, and you never saw the sort of behaviour you see here.

7. Thank God...
No joke either.

The US capitalized on a Christian holiday, transposing Christianity for Irish stereotypes.

10. Gosh, it's a good thing that's the only holy day we exploited...

9. When I was a teenager, I went to an Irish Club for St. Patrick's Day
and it was celebrated as it SHOULD have been -- with Irish music and dancing. Yes, there was drinking, but not to excess. Those born in the auld sod, and those of Irish decent, enjoying food and drink together, and lots and lots of good music.

Of course, I found out later they were raising money for the I.R.A., but that was another story.
