How do I get cat puke stains out of a rug?

When he frist puked I cleaned it up with laundry detergent immediately. When it dried there was a stain.

Any suggestions?

1. Either Resolve (powder) or Bissell's Pet Odor and Stain remover.

with the Resolve you need to sprinkle it almost immediately.

3. I just use carpet cleaner but there is an old recipe

you can make. In a small bowl combine; lukewarm water, a squirt of dish liquid and a teaspoon or two of vinegar. Squeeze your sponge in the mixture until you have a nice head of bubbles, then use the bubbles like rug cleaner and scrub. If it's not clean do it again.

11. No -- it's a steam cleaner, not a vacuum

And it gets out everything: cat vomit, wine stains, rust stains -- carpet, furniture, etc. It's wonderful.

9. If it's light colored you can use lemon juice and

baking soda. Baking soda acts as the corrosive and the lemon juice will remove the odor and sometimes the stain.

It's a natural, orange oil based cleanser. Great for little accidents in rugs. ;)

I like to use it to clean oil paint off my hands and brushes. It's better than turps. I have some. Not the same brand. It can't hurt to try.

She's on this kick that herbal essences hairspray gets anything out of anything. :eyes:

15. Does she color her hair?

I would think that if it gets anything out of anything it would remove the haircolor from her hair.

I have hear before that hair spray has off lable uses. I think it was as a fixative for pastels.
