How've you taken your forties so far?

I don't know about you, but I've never felt better! I play league volleyball a couple times a week. I started snowboarding last winter (I thought it would be like surfing, which I did for about six years, but snow is much harder than water). I think it all has to do with keeping active and not thinking that you have a right to be a fat lazy slob just because you managed to stay alive for 45 years without getting flattend by a bus or hitting the cancer lottery.

I took forty as a "second chance," and things have only gotten better since. Sex is better. Food is better. I'm in better shape than when I was in high school. One of our kids is about to move out, another will in a couple years. Age is a state of mind, and I don't mind feeling like a twenty-five year old.
