When doing dioramas, do you make them look realistic?
E.g. doing one of a hunting scene and showing the blood and stuff?

(my new peeps page, which is NOT related to that Cheney incident BTW, does get a tad graphic at times... and I ran out of red food coloring too. )

2. A 3D collage; a re-enactment or creation of an event seen in real life.
Bad comparison would be a Barbie doll, a Ken doll, that Barbie 3 story dream home with bedroom, and positioning both the Ken and Barbie dolls in that bedroom for all to see...

4. Hmmm. About the closest thing I've done like that
is that I used to make regular collages out of newspaper ads and headlines. I tried to be real arty and try to convey some message, but I'm afraid they were kind of lame.

What the hell, man. Food coloring isn't all that expensive. I say go for realism.

5. Why thank you! Oh, and here's a sample of what I'm talking about... heh.

In this scene, the ducks have started chasing the hunter... (guess what the green blob thing is in the 'snow' (which is flour, $1.99 at target yesterday)) And, as the ducks don't have licenses to "conceal and carry", their revenge is far more innovative... and it's just after that point when I ran out of the red food coloring... I did want to use more, but I think it's nasty enough... :7

Sadly, food coloring runs right off the flour... I'll have to digitally add some...

6. dude, that is TOTALLY cool
very innovative use of Peeps, I have to say.

If you're going for fake blood, I've had luck mixing red food dye with corn syrup. You get the consistency and it globs up pretty well. If you don't have corn syrup, you can also use liquid laundry detergent. I hear that's what the Red Cross uses for fake blood.

:hi:

10. I can't deal with corn syrup...
I'm inclined to drink it straight from the bottle... or, knowing me, bent from the bottle...

Thx for the compliment - I've got the "Don't hunt peeps!" page up, finally.

8. Well, back when I made my own greeting card of a dope-dealing santa...
Edited on Sat Mar-04-06 07:28 PM by HypnoToad
That's from a couple years ago before I started to mature (I'm 33 years, 9 months old...) I had a black light and used it to light up the scene.

I took the light out of hiding and aimed it on the flour and it glowed purple. I was happy. :D

Sadly, many pics didn't come out with the glow because of the flash and ambient lighting conditions... But some worked...

Oh, here's Santa!

(and those aren't cookies your mum used to make! :wow: )
