Recommend some massage gizmos for me.

Seriously, I've been working out a lot lately and I have a lot of neck and shoulder and back tension. Do any of those massage gizmos they have at Brookstone, etc., help at all? Got any recommendations?

1. I used to have an electric massager from Homedics

It was really good on the shoulder and back muscles. Unfortunately my ex took it in the divorce settlement. In fact, I pulled a neck muscle last week, and I was wishing I still had it. :(

6. Those are best if someone else is working on your back for you

it's pretty heavy and I find that by the time my neck and shoulders are feeling better, my arm is aching!You can prop it against the back of a tall upholstered chair if you have one.

The best I've found is a smaller version of those expensive massage chairs; it's just the back section, with the kneading "real touch" heads that work the neck to lower back (you can place it on any chair). I wish I could remember the name of the product-maybe Brookstone's or Sharper Image's site would have one?

I have a small one that you can use while sitting in a chair, but I agree with what some posters above said. Nothing beats the human touch. The massage gizmos are a good stop-gap measure, but to get real relief, you need a masseuse (or a masseur, if you prefer).
