1. Yeah, it is. And I regret playing along with the people who enjoy it.

2. If you know someone IRL, yes, it can be
but I've only met 4 DU'ers and the rest of y'all don't even know me, so in that case I'd say no.

8. Yes. *I* know the rules. This is a poll.
I was interested in what other people think.

11. What does it matter what people in the abstract think?
Personal attacks, name calling, are viewed by an individual, not by the entire membership here.

13. I'm just curious what other people think.
You might be reading a little more into this than was intended.

16. You know the rules, why does what other people think matter?
There can't be a true "vote" on the issue. Accept the very simple fact that some folks are more sensitive than others and they don't appreciate being called a name.

One would think that is easy to understand.

10. Again, personal attacks are against the rules.
Since the OP does not consider your words a personal attack, there is no foul.

If, on the other hand, you had posted those words to me, I would have found them insulting and would have alerted on your post. I do not know you and your words would have been a form of bullying.

But, you know that, don't you?

14. I think the attack is so ridiculous that no one could take it seriously
But I also know that some people take -everything- seriously. :D

15. And some people are more sensitive than you are.
You still have not made a point that is accurate.

As explained, if you wrote those words to me, it would be a personal attack and I would have alerted on them. As the OP appears to know you and appreciate the fact that you are being ridiculous, he will not alert.

It is a matter of personal perspective.

9. It can be
Particularly if it is allowed to continue long-term. An isolated instance can't be considered bullying, really, but repeated instances that aren't squashed by the mods definitely can.

12. Yes, and if they did that to a person face-to-face.....
...they'd probably have to make an emergency appointment to the dentist. A lot of people get really brave on the net.
