I have a nightmare...

The world's population of wild birds is on the verge of being murdered by sharply-toothed earthworm-like creatures.

The slitherers had only seen the sun sporadically in youth; and with each exposure to it, a certain venom was generated in their salivary glands. They simultaneously developed shiny tails that shoot into the sky -- and morph into the favorite food of each species of flier!

Now the birds don't have to maintain their sharp natures in order hunt down their favorite foods. They can now casually eat on the wing.

While it gradually withdraws its shiny baited tail into its hole the ground -- the venomous slitherer's mind stealthily emerges from a nearby hole ...poised to devour every bird it has enticed to fly low.

Just a thought...
