That brought up images of lefse. Now I have to wash the memory of that taste out of my mouth with some junk food.

3. Lefse SOUNDS like a good idea.

It's basically a Norwegian tortilla made from potatoes instead of corn.

The thing that bugs me is the sugar content. Generally, I prefer confections that are less sweet, but the sugar content in lefse is right on that border where you can't tell if it's trying to be a savory dish or a sweet dish. I always found that kind of annoying.

Don't get me wrong. As traditional Norwegian foods go, lefse isn't bad. At least it's not as bad as, say, lutefisk (aged fish preserved in lye). *shudder*
